Just when I thought we all understood that incandescent bulbs aren't okay, along came the Industrial Lighting trend. You know that joke "How many ___ does it take to screw in a light bulb?" I feel like, if you think using incandescent bulbs makes any sense at all, you should be the subject of this joke. Obviously the traditional filament bulb is way cooler looking with the industrial style, but when 25% of your home energy bill comes from your electricity use, you have to rethink your style choices. The average LED light bulb lasts 40,000 hrs, compared to the average incandescent bulb which lasts just 3,000 hours. I've been looking for a lot of lighting fixtures for our new home, and I stocked up on all the LED and CFL bulbs we'll need for the present and future. I have to remind myself that its these small choices that make the most significant impact on our lives.
If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves. Thomas Edison
