Severine von Tscharner Fleming is a farmer based in the Hudson Valley, NY. Her film The Greenhorns is about the young farmers in America who are embracing, reinventing, and growing the business of farming.
The Greenhorns takes the aspiring farmer, dewy-eyed and full of dreams, and helps them translate that into a viable, sustainable farming enterprise. One that is rooted in the local community, and connected to the surrounding areas that will in turn support the farm.
As you plan your Thanksgiving meal, why not do a little research into your local farming community and purchase some of your bounty from a neighbor?
