Did I ever tell you I love the winter time?
It shouldn't come as a surprise.. I was born in December. I grew up in the mountains. My family hails from Sweden and Norway.
So please won't you have a winter wedding?

Today's props go to Photographer Lisa Dawn from the UK sent me her photos from this wedding, it was held on an organic farm (Huntstile) in Somerset.
I love the simplicity of the overall affair--it makes the vibrant color palette really pop. Nice bridesmaid dresses--for sure you could wear these again.
I really like the wedding gown--a straight column, really a sheath, with straps (yay) and a very simple train. Elegant, timeless, beautiful. And the groom looks awesome in his (wear it again Sam) suit. And love the flower petals (no rice please, and bubbles--yawn)
And I leave you with the cute bunting--looks to me like a little Cath Kidston moment. See, it's not so hard, right? Now tell me what you're NOT doing to make your day a little more simple, sane, and sustainable!

You're so lucky--there are an amazing number of artistic photographers out there these days. And they all have web sites, so it's easier than ever to find them--not so when I planned my 2005 wedding. Here are two who brilliantly captured the love and excitement only felt by soon-to-be newlyweds.
The simple composition of these photos are not only lovely to look at, they are a perfect reminder that it's not the decor, flowers, music etc. that bring the magic to the day--it's the two of you.
